A 78-year-old woman from Listowel has died following a two-vehicle collision in Melancthon Township on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of County Road 124 and County Road 21 at about 11:35 a.m. Police say one person was pronounced dead at hospital, while the other driver sustained minor injuries.
The deceased has been identified as a 78-year-old woman from Listowel.
County Road 124 was closed between County Road 17 and Grey Road 9 for several hours as emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene. The roadway reopened shortly before 7 p.m.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact Dufferin OPP or Crime Stoppers.
