A 32-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Oshawa. The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Nonquon Road and Mary Street, where a vehicle travelling northbound struck the man.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a Toronto trauma centre, and he is reported to be in stable condition.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The intersection remained closed for several hours as authorities gathered evidence, and the investigation into the collision continues.
