A 79-year-old driver from Cochrane is facing a charge after a two-vehicle crash in North Bay on Thursday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision happened at the intersection of Algonquin Avenue and Highway 11/17, prompting a response from police, fire crews, and paramedics. One of the vehicles flipped over during the crash.
Three people inside the overturned vehicle were taken to hospital—one with minor injuries, while the other two were not hurt. The two people in the second vehicle were unharmed.
Traffic was managed around the scene until both vehicles were cleared. The driver has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to stop at a red light.
