Fire officials in Windsor are investigating a suspected arson after an early morning blaze caused significant damage to a residential property.
Crews were called shortly after 4:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of Algonquin Street, south of Tecumseh Road West, following reports of heavy smoke coming from a detached garage. The fire is believed to have started in the garage and resulted in an estimated $150,000 in damage.
No one was home at the time, and there were no injuries. The case has been turned over to the Windsor Police Arson Unit, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
