A fatal head-on collision in the Hamilton area left one person dead and six others injured early Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded around 6:45 a.m. to Highway 8 between Safari Road and Studiman Road, where two vehicles had collided. One vehicle carried two occupants, while the other had five occupants.
An adult passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was airlifted to hospital, and the remaining five individuals were taken to local hospitals with injuries of varying severity.
Police are continuing to investigate what caused the crash.
