A 13-year-old was ticketed after a snowmobile crash on a trail south of Blind River resulted in minor injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police say the incident occurred on the evening of March 27 along an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trail near Lake Duborne. The snowmobile left the trail and collided with several trees.
Officers reached the remote location by snowmobile, accessing the area from Kahles Road. Paramedics transported the youth to a hospital in Blind River with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The investigation found the teen was operating the snowmobile without a valid licence, leading to a provincial offence charge.
