A man in his 60s is in critical condition after a scooter crash in Brampton on Thursday morning.
Peel Regional Police say the incident happened shortly before 9:45 a.m. near Vodden Street East and Garfield Crescent. The man was travelling eastbound when he appears to have struck a concrete curb.
He suffered serious injuries and was first taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre, where he remains in life-threatening condition. Police noted that he was wearing a helmet at the time.
The crash has led to a temporary closure of Vodden Street East between Garfield Crescent and Cumberland Drive, but has since reopened.
