A 43-year-old man from Carleton Place has died after a motorcycle crash in Tay Valley Township.
Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police responded to the single-vehicle collision Friday evening around 6:15 p.m. on Upper Scotch Line, between Scotch Line and Allans Mill Road. The rider, who was alone at the time of the crash, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing, with support from technical collision investigators and a reconstruction specialist. The roadway was temporarily closed for several hours while emergency crews worked at the scene but has since reopened.
Police are asking anyone who may have information or relevant video footage to come forward.
