A man in his 50s was seriously hurt after being hit by a van in East York on Saturday evening.
Toronto police say the incident happened around 5:24 p.m. on Barrington Avenue, just north of Secord Avenue, prompting a response from emergency crews. The pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with injuries considered serious but not life-threatening.
The driver involved remained at the scene. Investigators are still working to determine what led to the collision, and no charges have been filed so far.
