A 25-year-old man from Elliot Lake is facing multiple charges after a pickup truck crash on Milliken Mine Road near the city.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the scene around 5:25 p.m. on April 4, where they found the vehicle overturned in a ditch. Officers reported seeing empty alcohol cans scattered nearby and noted that the driver showed signs of alcohol consumption.
The man was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital with minor injuries, where he was later arrested. His vehicle was subsequently towed and impounded.
He has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving, and operating a vehicle with an unsecured load. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Elliot Lake on May 14.
