Two people were seriously injured in a late-night crash involving a luxury vehicle near Casa Loma.

Police say the driver of a McLaren lost control around midnight near Spadina Road and Austin Terrace, striking a light pole and a bike rack before the vehicle came to a stop against a stone wall. Both occupants were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities confirmed that one individual was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

According to a family acquaintance who spoke to media, the vehicle is a 2018 model estimated to be worth about $200,000. City crews remained at the scene to repair damage, including impacts to a Toronto Bike Share station.
