Hamilton police are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist Friday night.
The crash occurred around 8:04 p.m. near Pritchard Road and Harlowe Road. According to investigators, a 2002 Harley-Davidson heading southbound collided with a 2020 Toyota RAV4 that was turning onto the roadway.
The male motorcyclist was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV and a young passenger sustained minor injuries and were also transported to hospital.
The case is being handled by the collision reconstruction unit as authorities work to determine the cause. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area to assist with the investigation.
