A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Quinte West on Saturday evening. Ontario Provincial Police say the collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Old Highway 2, just west of Montrose Road.
The victim, a man in his 70s from Belleville, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
No charges or arrests have been announced. The roadway was closed between Aikins Road and Montrose Road for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
