A six-year-old boy has died and several others were injured following a serious two-vehicle crash in Mulmur on Sunday.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 17 and County Road 19, involving a passenger vehicle carrying six people and a pickup truck with one driver.
The young boy was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A 30-year-old man and a two-year-old child suffered life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
The pickup truck driver and other occupants from the passenger vehicle were also taken to hospital with injuries that have not been specified.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact authorities or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
Update – The two-year-old who was critically injured in a crash is now in stable condition.
