A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Pickering on Tuesday afternoon.
Durham police responded to the scene at Brock Road and Dellbrook Avenue around 1:25 p.m. Investigators say a northbound Nissan SUV struck the pedestrian while she was on the roadway.
The victim was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and was unharmed.
Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with video footage or information to come forward.
