A Brampton truck driver is facing multiple charges after a tractor-trailer ended up in the front yard of a home in Peterborough.

Police say the crash happened April 16 near North Monaghan Parkway and Whittington Drive. The incident involved only the truck, and no injuries were reported.

After the vehicle was removed, investigators discovered several issues with its braking system. As a result, the 45-year-old driver was charged with offences including careless driving, disobeying a sign, operating a commercial vehicle with an improper braking system, and failing to record a defect in the daily inspection log.

Authorities also seized the truck’s licence plates.
