A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Toronto’s east end on Wednesday night.
Police say the collision occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the Upper Beach neighbourhood, near Gerrard Street East and Hannaford Street. One of the vehicles involved struck a pole, knocking it down.
The injured man was taken to a trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Road closures remain in place along Gerrard Street between Victoria Park Avenue and Main Street, and drivers are being advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes.
