A youth in Sudbury was hospitalized after a collision involving an electric scooter and a pickup truck in Copper Cliff on April 23.
Police say the crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Godfrey Drive and Park Street. Investigators determined the pickup truck was heading south on Godfrey Drive when the young rider entered the roadway from Park Street and was struck.
The youth suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre by ORNGE air ambulance for further treatment.
Authorities say the traffic safety unit is continuing to review the incident, though charges are not expected. The road was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
