A serious crash in Ottawa’s south end on Saturday evening has left one woman in critical condition and three others injured.
Emergency crews responded around 6:12 p.m. to a high-speed, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Barnsdale Road and Trail Road near Highway 416. Seven people were involved in the crash.
Four individuals required medical attention. A woman with severe, multi-system injuries was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition. Another woman was transported in serious but stable condition, while a third female was taken to CHEO in stable condition. A fourth woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Police have closed Barnsdale Road in both directions between Borrisokane and Trail roads and are urging drivers to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
