A man riding a scooter was seriously hurt following a collision with a vehicle in Ottawa’s Vanier neighbourhood on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of McArthur and Lafontaine avenues at about 12:46 p.m. Paramedics say the rider, believed to be in his 40s or 50s, sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Ottawa Hospital’s trauma centre.
The area was temporarily closed off as responders worked at the scene, with a blue scooter visible on the roadway.
