Two separate early-morning crashes on Highway 401 caused significant delays in Etobicoke around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Emergency crews responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle on the eastbound express lanes near Kipling Avenue, as well as a multi-vehicle crash on the westbound express lanes approaching Highway 400.

Police say none of the injuries reported were life-threatening. The incidents led to multiple lane closures, including two westbound express lanes and the ramp from Highway 409 eastbound to the 401 express at Kipling, resulting in heavy traffic congestion.

The express lanes reopened shortly after 8 a.m., with all affected areas cleared and traffic returning to normal by around 8:30 a.m.
