A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash in the southwest end of London on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called around 2:30 p.m. to the intersection of Colonel Talbot Road and Outer Drive, just north of Highway 402. According to London Police Service, the rider suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures remain in effect as investigators examine the crash. Colonel Talbot Road is shut down between Southland Drive and Highway 402, while Outer Drive is closed from Colonel Talbot Road to Patrick Street. The northbound exit ramp from Highway 402 is also closed, though southbound traffic continues to move through the area.

Police say closures are expected to last several hours and are urging drivers to steer clear while the investigation continues.
