A collision between a transport truck and a passenger vehicle in Caledon on Wednesday morning left one person seriously injured.
The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Highway 9 between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road, prompting the closure of that stretch of road.
Police say one person was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period as investigators examine the scene.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
