Emergency crews are at the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Scarborough after one of the vehicles overturned during Friday morning rush hour.

The crash happened around 8:51 a.m. at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue East and Kennedy Road. Toronto Fire crews are working to free occupants trapped inside the vehicle that flipped onto its side.

Police have not yet confirmed how many people were involved or whether anyone was injured.

Lane closures remain in effect as emergency responders manage the scene, causing heavy traffic delays in the area. Motorists are being advised to avoid the intersection and seek alternate routes.
