A morning crash in London has disrupted traffic after a vehicle struck a building at a busy intersection.

Police say the collision happened around 9:45 a.m. Monday at Wharncliffe Road and Byron Avenue. The impact caused northbound traffic on Wharncliffe Road to be detoured while emergency crews responded.

London Fire officials reported that the building on the northeast corner of the intersection sustained significant structural damage and required advanced stabilization work to secure the site.
