A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a serious collision involving a car in Mississauga on Monday afternoon.
Peel Regional Police say the crash occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on Derry Road between Tomken Road and Kennedy Road. Investigators say the rider was thrown from the motorcycle during the collision.
Paramedics transported the adult male motorcyclist to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. Police described his condition as serious.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Westbound lanes on Derry Road were temporarily closed between Tomken and Kennedy roads while police examined the scene, but the roadway reopened shortly before 8 p.m.
