A child riding an e-scooter was taken to hospital after a collision with an SUV in Brampton on Monday evening.
Peel Regional Police say officers responded to the area of Clyde Road and Dencor Street, near Williams Parkway and James Potter Road, at approximately 7:15 p.m. following reports of a crash involving a Honda SUV and a young rider on an e-bike or e-scooter.
Paramedics transported the boy to a trauma centre with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Police later confirmed he was in stable condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
