A man has died following a house fire in Lincoln on Monday afternoon, according to Niagara Regional Police Service.

Emergency crews, including police, Lincoln Fire Rescue and EMS, responded to a fire near Nineteenth Street and Seventh Avenue at approximately 2:45 p.m.

While battling the blaze, firefighters discovered an adult man inside the residence without vital signs. The victim, who lived at the home, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, while police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
