A fatal crash involving a motorcycle forced the closure of part of Dufferin Street in Vaughan on Tuesday morning as investigators examined the scene.
York Regional Police said the collision happened around 10:15 a.m. near Caraway Drive and involved a motorcycle and another vehicle.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist from Richmond Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed the other driver stayed at the location and did not suffer serious injuries.
Investigators have not released details about what caused the crash, and no charges have been laid.
The collision led to major traffic disruptions, with Dufferin Street closed in both directions near Highway 407. Some ramp access remained open, including westbound Highway 407 traffic heading north on Dufferin and southbound traffic exiting from eastbound Highway 407.
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area while reconstruction officers continue their investigation.
