A 73-year-old man has died following an e-bike crash in Pickering, according to Durham Regional Police.
The incident happened shortly after 3 p.m. Monday on Woodview Avenue, south of Finch Avenue. Investigators say the man was travelling south on an e-bike when he collided with a pile of gravel and was thrown from the vehicle.
Emergency crews transported him to hospital with critical injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.
