A 25-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 12 in Tay Township early Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 2 a.m. between Triple Bay Road and Talbot Street. Police found the driver inside the vehicle and immediately began life-saving efforts before paramedics arrived to assist.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The section of Highway 12 affected by the collision reopened shortly after 10 a.m. following the investigation at the scene.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision to come forward.
