Brantford police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the city’s downtown area.
Emergency crews responded around 2:27 p.m. to the intersection of Dalhousie Street and Queen Street, where a 77-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not announced any charges as the investigation continues.
In the hours following the crash, hydro crews were seen working at a nearby intersection on Dalhousie Street and King Street to repair a damaged utility pole.
Investigators are asking witnesses, or anyone with video footage of the area at the time of the collision, to contact police as they work to determine what happened.
