A transport truck driver suffered serious injuries in a collision on Highway 416 Thursday afternoon, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The crash happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes near County Road 21.
OPP say the incident involved a transport truck and a crash truck connected to road construction operations in the area.
The injured driver was transported to hospital for treatment, while investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police also confirmed that a section of Highway 416 will remain closed for several hours as the investigation and cleanup continue.
