Traffic is once again moving on Highway 403 in Mississauga after a dump truck collision forced the closure of all eastbound lanes for several hours on Friday.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the incident happened shortly before 11:20 a.m. when a dump truck travelling with its box raised struck an overpass near Hurontario Street. No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.
The collision prompted officials to shut down the eastbound lanes between Mavis Road and Hurontario Street while crews responded and a bridge inspector examined the overpass for potential structural damage.
After the inspection and cleanup were completed, the highway fully reopened to traffic just before 7 p.m.
