A 23-year-old driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from Toronto police and crashing into a police cruiser in Etobicoke.

Police said officers tried to stop the vehicle around 11:10 p.m. Friday for speeding. Investigators allege the driver fled the scene before colliding with another cruiser a short time later during the attempted stop. Two police vehicles were damaged in the incident, though no injuries were reported.

The driver was arrested at the scene and charged with several offences, including speeding, stunt driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without licence plates, and breaching a release order.
