Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious single-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning on Highway 400 in Georgian Bay Township.

The collision, involving a small sedan, was reported around 8:30 a.m., according to police. Authorities said the lone driver, a 30-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle and suffered serious life-altering injuries.

The crash forced a full closure of the southbound lanes near South Gibson Lake Road. By mid-afternoon, police confirmed the right lane had reopened while the left lane remained shut down.
