Two people were rescued from the Ottawa River on Sunday after their sailboat capsized in the rapids near Britannia Yacht Club. Ottawa Fire Services responded to a 911 call around 3:45 p.m. and found both individuals unable to exit the water on their own.
Rescue teams pulled them to safety by approximately 4:05 p.m., and paramedics confirmed that neither sustained injuries.
