A 4-year-old child was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Owen Sound on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the collision happened around 3:25 p.m. near the intersection of 14th Street West and Alpha Street following reports involving a child pedestrian.
Officers arrived within minutes and provided emergency assistance to the injured child until paramedics reached the scene.
The child was transported to hospital with injuries that police say are not considered life-threatening.
The area was temporarily closed while investigators and forensic officers examined the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
Authorities say the investigation is continuing.
