A 24-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious life-altering injuries following a collision in Whitby early Wednesday morning.
Police say the crash occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of Taunton Road and Thickson Road. Investigators allege the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Taunton Road when it collided with a westbound Honda sedan that was making a left turn at the intersection.
The motorcyclist was transported to a Toronto trauma centre and remains in stable condition.
Authorities said the 21-year-old Honda driver and two passengers in the vehicle were not injured.
The intersection was shut down for several hours as officers gathered evidence. Police say the investigation is continuing.
