A float plane crash on Lillabelle Lake, just north of Cochrane, left the pilot with minor injuries on Thursday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to the scene around 11:40 a.m. after reports that the aircraft had gone down in the lake. Investigators believe the plane experienced mechanical problems before crashing into the water.
The pilot was the only person on board and was able to escape the aircraft on their own. They were later rescued by nearby co-workers and treated for minor injuries.
OPP say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
