Ontario Provincial Police in Ottawa are asking for public assistance after a hit-and-run on Highway 417 on Thursday.
Police say the incident happened in the eastbound lanes near Woodroffe Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. During the collision, a vehicle struck a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee and then left the scene without stopping to exchange information.
Investigators are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or other video footage to come forward to help identify the driver involved. The case reference number provided for tips is E260694262.
