A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision involving an SUV in Wilmot Township on Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge Street and Walker Road. Emergency crews transported a 53-year-old man from Embro to hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with an SUV.
Police say the SUV driver, a 45-year-old woman from St. Marys, was not injured.
The intersection was shut down for several hours while the Waterloo Regional Police Service investigated the scene. Authorities are asking witnesses to come forward as they work to determine what led to the crash.
