A fatal single-vehicle crash early Friday morning has forced the closure of a Highway 400 exit ramp in Carling Township.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the northbound off-ramp connecting Highway 400 to Highway 559.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information about the victim has been released.
The West Parry Sound OPP, along with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
The northbound Highway 400 exit ramp to Highway 559 remains closed, with motorists being directed to use Avro Arrow Road as a detour. Police have not yet said what may have led to the collision.
