A fatal house fire in Plantagenet is under investigation after emergency crews discovered one person dead inside the residence Friday afternoon.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, the fire was reported around 2:45 p.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and located the victim inside the home.
The investigation is being handled by the Hawkesbury OPP crime unit in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, and the Office of the Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the deadly fire.
