Two people sustained minor injuries after a small aircraft crashed at Carp Airport in Ottawa on Monday evening.

Emergency crews were called to the airport on Thomas Argue Road around 6:30 p.m. following reports of a plane crash. Ottawa Paramedic Service says both occupants of the aircraft were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will be responsible for investigating the incident.

Ottawa police say operations at the airport were temporarily halted as a result of the crash.
