A 77-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle collision in Woolwich Township early Friday morning.
Police say the crash happened around 5:50 a.m. at the intersection of Northfield Drive East and Country Lane near West Montrose. The collision involved a black Ford pickup truck and a black Nissan. The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, a 44-year-old man, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Northfield Drive East was closed for several hours between Scotch Line Road and Jigs Hollow Road while investigators examined the scene. The roadway reopened shortly before 2 p.m.
Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate and are asking witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
