Timmins Police are asking the public to avoid a section of Maple Street North as officers investigate a hit-and-run collision that occurred earlier Friday.
In a news release issued May 29, police said Maple Street North between Algonquin Boulevard and Fifth Avenue was closed due to the ongoing investigation, resulting in an increased police presence in the area.
Motorists and pedestrians have been urged to stay clear of the scene until investigators complete their work. Police have not released additional details about the collision and said they will provide an update once the area has been reopened.
