Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon at the intersection of Bass Lake Side Road and Line 11 in Oro-Medonte, where one person became trapped inside a vehicle.
The crash was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m., prompting a response from Oro-Medonte Fire and Emergency Services, Simcoe County Paramedic Services, and the Ontario Provincial Police.
Upon arrival, firefighters found two vehicles involved and determined that one occupant was trapped. Rescue crews successfully extricated the individual, enabling paramedics to provide medical treatment.
Two people were assessed and treated at the scene. According to Roree Payment, the injuries sustained did not appear to be life-threatening.
The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
