A two-vehicle crash in Elora sent an SUV into a building Monday evening, prompting a response from police and emergency crews.

Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police were called to the intersection of McNab Street and Wellington Road 7 at approximately 5:30 p.m. after a collision involving an SUV and a four-door sedan.

Police say the SUV struck the sedan before leaving the roadway and crashing into a nearby building. One of the drivers sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The intersection was temporarily closed for roughly an hour while emergency personnel managed the scene and cleared the roadway. Traffic has since resumed.

Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision, and no charges have been laid at this time.
