Toronto police are investigating a serious two-vehicle crash in Scarborough that critically injured a 47-year-old woman on Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred around 6:38 p.m. near Brimley Road and Eglinton Avenue East. A red Nissan Versa, driven by a 39-year-old man with a 47-year-old female passenger, collided with a northbound black Mercedes-Benz carrying a 23-year-old driver and two young children, ages four and six.
The female passenger in the Nissan sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where her condition remains critical. All other occupants, including both drivers and the children, were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with dashcam or security footage from the area at the time to come forward.
